Campaign Story

Hello! We are Monica & Sandra Bermudez. We want to begin by thanking you for visiting our page. We really appreciate you taking the time to read our story and possibly be a part of our Journey!
A little about us.. We are a fun, happy, married couple from Florida. We both will be turning 36 this year and have been excited and eager to start our family for quite some time.
Our fertility Journey began 3 years ago and has been quite a struggle. We consulted with multiple Dr’s, and decided to attempt insemination at home first. Well after several attempts with 2 different specimens/donors (7 attempts in the last year alone) unfortunately we have had no luck. So we have accepted that although we have been trying to avoid the extra absurd and frightening costs of Fertility (after being quoted 18-25k per attempt by a Fertility clinic) we feel it is time to take another approach.
We hoped we would have luck at home but unfortunately it seems we need a little help. After consulting with our Doctors they are ready to give it a go via IVF however our only hurdle are the financial costs as they will be increasing. Our treatment plan may likely require medications, ultrasound testing and monitoring, possibly injections, and the mention of possibly multiple attempts. Our insurance coverage does not cover fertility and it also doesnt help that they are unable to actually diagnose me. It’s hard not to get discouraged and feel bummed but we are trying hard to keep our spirits high! We have faith in this happening for us!
although the 18k+ per attempt is terrifying, we are being hopeful. We continue holding on to faith and prayers that it works on the first attempt but we are preparing for 2. The past 3 years have been challenging, mentally, physically, and very much so emotionally! We are beyond anxious and excited to start our own family and welcome our own beautiful bundle of joy to the world.
